In 2025 we hosted convenings across the US, with events in Fresno, California; Denver, Colorado; Detroit, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; and Los Angeles, California. These one-day events are designed for public health practitioners, government staff, leaders from community-based organizations, and health care professionals who work on the root causes of health issues.

EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Through interactive sessions, small-group activities, and expert panels, you’ll gain knowledge on reading and understanding the law; differences between education, advocacy, and lobbying; and steps in the process of policy change.
BUILD CONNECTIONS
You'll hear about ways to find more opportunities for community-centered policy change with your partners. Real-world examples of successes and lessons learned will be shared, to inspire your work.
TAKE ACTION
During the convening, you'll develop your own next steps so that you can immediately apply your increased knowledge to work that serves your community. Afterward, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and a resource guide to support your endeavors.
