Beyond Election Day
Building Partnerships for Local Change
Meaningful policy change starts long before a proposal comes to a vote. It begins with trusted relationships between community advocates and local leaders. As communities prepare for new opportunities and challenges following the 2026 elections, strong partnerships can help keep health and equity at the forefront of local decision-making.
On October 22, 2026, ChangeLab Solutions and the National League of Cities hosted Beyond Election Day: Building Partnerships for Local Change, as part of ChangeLab Solutions’ Accelerating Policy Change virtual series.
Drawing on their extensive experience guiding community-led programs and policies, speakers offered insights into how local leaders and government officials approach decision-making, what information and perspectives they need to address complex community issues, and how to connect community priorities to broader municipal goals.
