Your Gift Advances Community Health

Help us develop crucial health equity solutions

As 2022 comes to a close, we are reaching out with some highlights of ChangeLab Solutions' accomplishments this year. We’ve continued to champion equitable laws and policies, address pressing issues of health equity, and effect enduring change in communities across the nation. With the support of our community and governmental partners, as well as individual donors, our team has made significant strides in the last year, including the following initiatives:

  • Launching Act for Public Health — a public health law collaborative that develops and disseminates effective strategies to help state and local leaders protect public health
  • Publishing a much-needed guide on proactive rental inspection to help local government officials and housing advocates protect tenants, incentivize landlords to maintain their units, and preserve existing affordable housing
  • Identifying and advancing solutions to improve racial equity, economic development, and health in rural communities

As we look ahead to 2023, we are excited about building on what we have achieved this year, to expand our impact. Our latest work includes the following projects:

  • Establishing a new public health law fellowship program for master’s level and recent graduate students, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Law Program as well as health departments and organizations across the country
  • Advancing food justice by convening diverse stakeholders, including those from frontline communities, to reflect on the evolution of childhood obesity prevention and to identify new opportunities and partnerships to advance racial and health equity in food system policy and research
  • Promoting children’s mental health by uplifting intersectional policy solutions that support families and children with mental health needs; demonstrating the connections between housing and mental health; and identifying strategies to create a more robust mental health workforce
