Our webinar Equitable Implementation of Tenant Protections held on October 16, 2023 explored the complexities and challenges of equitable implementation, with a focus on tenant protections and right to counsel — the legal right to have access to a publicly funded attorney when facing the loss of basic human needs.
While right-to-counsel laws can increase tenants' access to justice, they are only as strong as the underlying tenant rights framework. Our panel highlighted national efforts as well as local programs that have made strides in protecting tenants’ rights.
