Model Joint Use Resolution

Model Joint Use Resolution

A foundation for formal policies and agreements

Local governments often use resolutions to set official policy, direct internal operations, or establish a task force to study an issue. Resolutions can be a good first step in encouraging collaborative relationships between public agencies, nonprofits, and other organizations to expand access to recreation facilities and related programs.

The purpose of NPLAN’s model joint use resolution is to help local governments lay the foundation for establishing more formal joint use policies and agreements.
